I must be the last person on Earth to know about this, but I was so excited to hear it! If you meet certain qualifications, you are eligible to file your federal tax return for free. Go to the IRS Free File page to select a company. Most states also have agreements with certain companies to file state tax returns for free if you meet the guidelines. Go to your state department of revenue site to find out more. If you live in Missouri, the information you need is here. Please note that for most of the state returns they are only free if you file state and federal together. I used TaxSlayer and it was one of the easiest things I've ever done.
