This tip is straight out of The Tightwad Gazette. I save plastic shopping bags to take my lunch in and to line trash cans. I previously had them stored in a large shopping bag, but it was way too bulky and took up too much room. I wish I had counted how many bags I was able to stuff in here. I think it was no less than 20. This has cut down on space and looks cute, too! If you're creative you can cover it with paper or fabric. Or you can be lazy like me and just look for a pretty box. Works for Me!

That's a great idea. Another thing you can use is a tube of material, with elastic in the top and bottom to keep it closed. You stuff bags in at the top and pull them out the bottom when you need them :-)
very cool! Just yesterday I finally took my HUGE collection of bags back to WalMart.. they were taking over my pantry! This will help me keep them under control. Great idea!
Tightwad Gazette is a book for any mother on a budget! Thanks for this great tip...I might put one of these in my changing table for "little messes" that need to be contained!
Blessings!

I was thinking of posting the exact same tip -- I'm glad I didn't!! :) I didn't know it came from the Tightwad Gazette -- I read it on another web site somewhere but didn't keep track of which one. I never liked those fabric bags that some people make for these -- didn't have a place to put one and felt it looked a little messy itself. But the tissue box keeps them neat and compact.
I've never heard of this before! Thanks for sharing =)
