I tried to post a comment at your new site, but no comment window popped up? I think you are on the right track with gifts. I did the same thing recently. I just say to myself: "The receiver has no idea what my choices or ideas were." So if green wouldn't have been their first choice- no pressure on me. THey don't even know I considered yellow.
